Everything sells, and you're paid the same wherever it does. Pieces above €50 go online under your name, on your closet page. Below that, they sell through our partner network instead — the same ladder, the same share, just not on the website. Where a piece sells changes what we keep. It never changes what you get.

What we can't sell:

• Anything broken, torn, stained, pilled, shrunk or badly altered
• Anything that smells of smoke, damp or mould, or shows any sign of moths or insects. These we can't take at any price, whatever the brand.
• Anything unwashed. We don't launder or steam — send it as you'd want to receive it.
• Underwear, swimwear and beauty products, unless new with tags
• Replicas, copies, and anything we can't verify as genuine
• Anything where the story can't be evidenced. A match-worn shirt without provenance is just a shirt.

What sells best is what you'd expect: recognisable brands, good condition, and pieces someone would want to own because of who wore them.

Not sure about something? Ask before you send it. It costs nothing and it saves us both the return.

Yes, with the owner's permission. Agents and managers do this for players, and stylists do it for clients. For larger wardrobes or professional consignments, talk to us first and we'll set it up properly.

No. Most closets are a clear-out rather than an emptying. If you want help deciding, that's what the in-home session is for.

Above €50, online on ballers-market.com under your closet. Below €50, through our partner network. Both are working sales channels and you're paid on the same ladder either way.

We may list a lower-value piece online when we choose to. That's our call.

Under that, a free prepaid label is quicker for everyone. If you'd still rather we came, it's a one-off €25 that comes off your first payout rather than out of your own pocket.

Yes, and it's yours. When we film a collection we shoot for Ballers Market, and you get your own cut without our branding — photo, video or both — to post wherever you like.

Two things to know. You need to be there and on camera, so it has to be a slot that suits you. And the format and the price are agreed per closet before we come, because a set of stills and a full edit are not the same job.

Not filming costs you nothing and changes nothing about what you earn.

Your first bag is free. Extra bags are €4.95 each, including shipping both ways. If you need more than two, ask us to collect instead — one visit beats three round trips, and from 100 pieces it's free.

Fold rather than roll, heaviest at the bottom. Boots, studs and anything with a hard edge should be wrapped so nothing gets marked in transit. Close it, attach the prepaid label, and drop it at any parcel point.

One bag holds around 20 to 25 adult garments — a proper clear-out rather than a couple of things.

Fill it as full as you like, as long as it closes and stays under 10kg. That's the limit our carrier works to, and an overweight bag gets held up rather than collected.

We come to the house, go through the wardrobe with you, decide together what stays and what goes, and take the rest with us. We reorganise what's left before we leave.

On brand, condition, category and demand. Almost everything in reasonable condition finds a channel — the question is which one, not whether.

Every piece is checked twice before it goes anywhere near the site.

First by hand. Linne Dierckx leads authentication at Ballers Market, and every piece passes through her team. Stitching, weight, weave, hardware, the way a label is sewn in, how a print has aged — the things you only recognise after years of handling the real thing.

Then against the record. Codes, labels, batch and serial numbers are checked against manufacturer data using verification software built for exactly this. A piece has to pass both.

What you get. Every piece that passes carries a printed certificate of authenticity from Ballers Market, stamped and marked Approved by Ballers Market. It travels with the piece to the buyer.

And if a piece doesn't pass. We tell you why, because there's a difference between a piece we can't verify and a piece we don't believe is real. If you have a receipt, an order confirmation or a certificate of your own, send it and we'll look again — you have five working days.

Anything we conclude is counterfeit is destroyed. We don't return it, we don't donate it, and we don't pass it on. Putting a fake back into circulation is the one thing a marketplace built on authenticity can't do.

We tell you which of three things happened, because they're not the same.

We couldn't verify it. No code, no label, nothing to check it against — but nothing suggesting it isn't real either. Send us a receipt or a certificate within five working days and we'll look again. If you'd rather have it back, that's €2.50 plus shipping.

It's real, but it won't sell. Worn out, damaged, or below the value where a sale makes sense for anyone. Ask for it back within five working days, or it goes to Leger des Heils or to recycling.

We believe it's counterfeit. Send us proof within five working days and we'll look again. If we still can't verify it, the piece is destroyed. We don't return it and we don't donate it — a fake passed on is a fake back in circulation.

Four weeks from the day we collect to the day your pieces are live. Priority handling puts them live within a week for €9.95, covering everything in that send.

The clock on anything we ask you about starts when we tell you, not when the piece arrives.

Nothing goes to waste. What we can't sell goes to a resale partner, to Leger des Heils, or to recycling. Every piece has a destination, and you're told which one.

A piece we didn't select, a piece that didn't sell, or a piece you've changed your mind about while it's live — the rule is the same. €2.50 per piece, plus return shipping.

Ask through your account and we'll send everything back together, so you only pay shipping once.

The one exception is a piece we've concluded is counterfeit. Those are destroyed rather than returned.

If you'd rather not have pieces back, nothing goes to waste. What we can't sell goes to a resale partner, to Leger des Heils, or to recycling.

We do. There's nothing to negotiate and nothing for you to think about.

We set every price. Prices are based on the brand, the condition, the category, what's in demand, and what comparable pieces have actually sold for. If a piece was worn by someone people know, that's part of it too.

Prices come down over time. A piece that hasn't sold after a few weeks is priced again, lower, and again after that if it needs to be. That's how pieces find buyers rather than sitting. What you receive always follows the price it finally sells at, using the same ladder — so a lower price means a smaller share, never a different deal.

Nothing up to €25. Half the price from €26 to €50. Above €50 it's €25 fixed for the first €50, and then 80% of everything above that — the 80% never applies to the whole price. Less a €1 listing fee, on any channel, and only when a piece sells.

Handling one low-value piece costs about the same as handling an expensive one, and at that price there isn't a payout in it for anybody. Rather than turning those pieces away, we sell them and the money funds the cause side.

Where a piece sells changes what we keep. It never changes what you get.

€1 per piece, and only when a piece sells. It comes off wherever the piece sells — on ballers-market.com or through a resale partner. There is no version of this where it doesn't apply.

It covers the photograph, the write-up, the listing itself and the payment charges that come with taking money from a buyer. It's the only per-piece charge there is; everything else we do comes out of our share.

Nothing is charged on a piece that doesn't sell, and nothing is charged up front.

You ask, and we pay.

Once a piece has sold and the buyer's 30-day return window has closed, your share appears in your account. It sits there until you want it — there's no minimum and no deadline. Ask for a payout and it's in your bank account within five working days.

You can also take your share as Ballers Market credit instead of cash, and we add 10% on top of your share for doing it. Credit doesn't expire for two years and it spends like money in the shop.

If you've chosen a cause, your share goes there instead, and we tell you what it did.

Yes, and we add 10% on top of your share for doing it. On a €500 piece your share is €384, so credit makes it €422. It doesn't expire for two years and it spends like money in the shop.

Straight to the cause, and we tell you what it did. Ambassadors give all of it; impact players split it and set the share themselves.

Ambassadors donate 100% of their earnings to a chosen cause — that's where the word comes from, because they give everything back. Impact players keep a share and send the rest. Every closet carries one label or the other, and it's on the page.

Yes, and we have to.

Ballers Market is a digital platform under EU rules known as DAC7. That means we're required to report certain sellers to the Belgian tax authority each year, who pass it on to the authority in your own country.

It applies to you if, in a calendar year, you sell 30 or more pieces or earn more than €2,000 through Ballers Market. Below both of those, you're outside it and we report nothing.

If it applies, we need your full legal name, date of birth, home address, your national tax number (BSN in the Netherlands, rijksregisternummer in Belgium) and the bank account we pay into. You add these in your account, not on a form on our website.

What we report is who you are, what you earned each quarter, and how many pieces you sold. Nothing about individual items, and nothing to anyone but the tax authority.

If we ask for these details and don't hear back, the rules require us to pause your account until we do. We'll remind you twice first.

What you owe on this income is between you and your tax authority. We report — we don't advise. If you're unsure, ask an accountant.

Yes, any time. It applies from the moment you change it rather than retrospectively — anything already paid over has gone.

Nothing, as far as you're concerned.

Buyers have 30 days to change their mind. If one does, the piece comes back to us, we check it, and it goes back on sale. You keep what you were paid. We don't claw it back, and we don't ask you to be involved.

The only thing that changes this is authenticity. If a piece turns out not to be what it was described as, the sale is reversed and the share comes back — which is why we check everything before it's listed.

Tell us and we stop. Anything already live is either taken down or left to sell — your choice. Pieces you want back cost €2.50 each plus shipping.
